(Low Down) the Film is the directorial debut of Jeff Preuss. In the films known to the viewer "Survival in new York", "Broken noses" he worked as an operator. The plot of the film is devoted to the difficult topic of the relationship of eleven-year-old daughter and her father, who is a legend of jazz – Joe Albany. The relationship, full of emotional experiences of the child for the father, who can get into different unpleasant situations, has problems with the police, shown as it perceives the little daughter Amy. Father's life is filled with communication with friends who are also drinking buddies. Alcoholic and drug addict, talented musician Joe Albany is a single father. He loves his girl and in a sober state gives her gifts and swears that he gets drunk for the last time. The plot of the film does not idealize the events of the life of a brilliant man who spent his life struggling with drug addiction and falls lower. Amy's been with him the whole time. The girl lives in her small world, but does not give up neither her father nor her alcoholic mother.
